Noise
This page brings together resident recordings, observations and official acoustic material concerning noise from the karting activity.
What residents are recording
- Kart engines and acceleration
- Tyre screeching during track use
- Whistles associated with activities

Indicative noise measurements
Two Decibel X recordings made from a nearby residential property on 19 August 2026 produced the following readings:
Consumer readings for context only. They are not regulatory measurements and do not establish compliance or non-compliance.
Residential activity-noise limits
Real Decreto 1367/2007, Annex III, Table B1 sets activity-noise immission limits for predominantly residential acoustic areas at 55 dBA by day, 55 dBA in the evening and 45 dBA at night, subject to the prescribed measurement methodology and the applicable acoustic classification.
Track intensity observed by residents
Residents at Sunset Views have observed as many as 38 karts on the track at one time. This is a resident observation intended to illustrate the potential intensity of track use; it is not an official capacity figure.
Two-seater karts
The operator advertises a super two-seater kart category. Residents have identified a distinctive low-frequency “puttering” sound from some two-seater karts in video recordings and are documenting this separately.
Organised races and group events
Published information for the Mijas circuit advertises individual hire as well as organised races for groups, companies, friends and families. Residents report that some organised sessions can also involve whistles, cheering and clapping.
